Giving to Our Mission
At Beacon Unitarian Universalist Congregation, we live into our mission of radical inclusion, feeding the human spirit and healing the world through our financial support. Our annual budget is a moral document that shows what we value and how we hope to live in the world. Our budget is made up of financial gifts from our members and friends, as well as regular fundraisers. We are funded exclusively through the gifts and donations of community, generous people like you! Contributions of any size make an impact on living out our mission and values.

Through our stewardship, we affirm that fulfilling the mission of our congregation and our greater UU movement is a guiding principle in our lives. Beacon is an inherited trust, and as stewards we care for it in our time, to honor those who came before us and to build a legacy for those who will follow us.

Social Justice Plates
Every year the Social Justice Team sponsors collections for social justice issues that are in alignment with our annual focus on climate activism, gun violence prevention, racial justice and refugee response/immigrant rights. We also take up a special collection to alleviate hunger and homelessness.
Organizations are chosen by the Social Justice Team with congregational input. Appeals are made for three consecutive Sundays when everything donated in the plate is given to the designated organization. You are welcome to donate to these special appeals anytime during the three-week appeal. Your donation is tax-deductible and very much appreciated. Thank you for helping us heal the world.
