Magic Words and the Magic Touch 

Throughout American history there has been long cinematic and literary trope known as the "exceptional negro", which complexifies racial tension today.  This exceptional negro, later evolved into what director, Spike Lee coined as the "magical negro." As U.S. film and literature circulated the magical negro in mainstream media -- it was not long after the magical negro stereotype would be implied to Black folk and those of the global majority.  Join Rev.
